„In der Sportschau wollen die Leute nicht so lange bequatscht werden, am Sonntagabend ist das anders.“ Darauf hofft Reinhold Beckmann, einer von sieben Moderatoren, die ab 2. August im Wechsel sonntags um 21.45 Uhr den renovierten Sportclub des NDR präsentieren. „Hintergründig“ solle die Sendung werden, die bisher um 22.45 Uhr startete, sagt Beckmann.
Das neue Konzept ist ein Resultat der Verträge, die die ARD im November 2008 mit der Deutschen Fußball Liga (DFL) abgeschlossenen Verträgen. Demnach dürfen die ARD-Anstalten ab 21.45 Uhr über die Sonntagsspiele der 1. Liga berichten. Bisher hatte das DSF die Erstverwertungsrechte für die Sonntagsspiele im Free TV.
Die Sender gehen mit der Situation unterschiedlich um. Die ausführlichste Sendung (eine Stunde) kommt vom NDR. Der BR zeigt eine Dreiviertelstunde Blickpunkt am Sonntag – die Bundesliga, der WDR 30 Minuten Bundesliga am Sonntag, der HR unter dem Titel Heimspiel! Bundesliga eine Viertelstunde. Die individuellen Lösungen waren notwendig geworden, nachdem sich die ARD dagegen entschieden hatte, im Ersten Programm ab 21.45 Uhr eine Bundesligasendung zu senden. Dort sind Bilder der Sonntagsspiele nun erst in den Tagesthemen zu sehen.
Als kürzlich die ARD-Sportchefs in Hamburg unter anderem über die Bundesliga-Berichterstattung am Sonntag diskutierten, äußerten einige Beteiligte ihre Unzufriedenheit über Details der neuen Regelungen. So ist jede Sportsendung im Dritten verpflichtet, von einer Partie mindestens viereinhalb Minuten zu zeigen. Wenn Freiburg gegen Bochum spielt, kämen NDR oder HR aber auch mit eineinhalb Minuten aus, vor allem wenn man bedenkt, dass sich etwa die Bochum-Fans im HR-Sendegebiet wohl für die Sendung des WDR entscheiden.
Dass die Sonntags-Rechte auch kontraproduktive Pflichten mit sich bringen, könnte sich vor allem bei den Tagesthemen erweisen. Stehen zwei Sonntagsspiele auf dem Programm, sind sie vertraglich verpflichtet, insgesamt mindestens sechs Minuten zu senden – immerhin darf die Redaktion entscheiden, wie sie diese Zeit aufteilt. Allemal geht fast die Hälfte der Sendung (am Sonntag 13 Minuten) für Fußball drauf. Bleibt die Frage, warum ein Interessenverband beeinflussen kann, in welchem Umfang seine Mitglieder in den Tagesthemen vorkommen.
Sollte es die Nachrichtenlage erfordern, werde man die Sendung verlängern, sagt NDR-Programmdirektor Frank Beckmann. Das dürfe aber „nicht zur Regel werden“. Sonst wären die Macher des nachfolgenden Kulturmagazins ttt verärgert.

Mir ist nicht ganz klar warum die Sportsendung des SWR unterschlagen wird. Deren „Sport im Dritten“ wird ebenfalls ausführlich von den Sonntagsspielen berichten. Dabei ist hervorzuheben, dass die Sendung jetzt wieder wie früher um 21:45 Uhr laufen kann und nicht mehr aus rechtlichen Gründen erst eine Stunde später. Für die bisherigen Stammzuschauer (wie mich) eine gute Sache und allemal besser als eine zusätzliche Sportsendung im Ersten.
Die Dauer von SiD liegt übrigens ebenfalls bei 60 Minuten.

Ich wohne in Göttingen, schaue aber eigentlich auch ganz gerne mal die Sportsendungen des SWR (BW oder RP), aber leider gibt es die Sendungen nicht über Kabel und man braucht dann einen Receiver. Aufgrund einer Verkabelung mehrerer Geräte muss ich diesen leider manchmal „ausschließen“ und dann ist es mir zu umständlich, wieder neu zu verkabeln.
Warum gibt es eigentlich den SWR nicht wie die anderen Dritten über Kabel? Außer noch Saarland und RBB gibt es doch alle anderen Dritten über Kabel.

Natürlich ist die Annahme, dass das Trikotsponsoring zum überwiegenden Teil über das frei empfangbare Fernsehen funktioniert, völlig richtig; doch sollte dieser Umstand doch eher dazu führen, dass sich die Sendeanstalten, und hier vor allem ARD und ZDF, ihrer entsprechenden Stärke mehr bewusst werden, als es ihre stromlinienförmigen Beiträge im Fußballmetier bis dato vermögen.
